For my still-life drawing I chose to draw a water bottle, a candle and an apple. I believe I did very well on composition of this piece, the heights of the bases mainly. I was able to draw the balance of the objects very well and both sides of the objects are pretty equal. The rhythm of the piece is shown by the way the objects are placed in a triangle. Them being placed in a triangle keeps your eye moving around the drawing. The contrast in the piece is shown by the 6 parts of lights, highlight, direct light, middle tone, indirect light, reflected light and the cast shadow. I also believe that I showed the value of the piece very well, I used my value scale and I think I showed all 10 values. The space in the piece is shown by shading the background and table to show that the objects are not floating.
